I have never been this scared in my life.
To (willingly) jump off a cliff and free-fall 60 meters is actually crazy...but SO amazing! Before we jumped, they had me pose for this picture, leaning over the edge while holding on to me.

Apparently I was also attached by some small, insignifgicant bungee, but of course I couldn't tell it was even there. This was definitely the scariest part for me. Hanging over a cliff when it feels like the only thing coming between you and certain death is a man you just met holding your
For my first jump, I chose the "Pin Drop," which is ranked 5 out of 5. You have to put your hands behind your back and jump sideways off the platform without holding on to anything!



I decided to do a second drop, and I let the staff choose which one they thought "was best." They chose the "Elvis Cutaway" so i could experience a backwards free-fall.
Yes, I screamed, but it was amazing!

Here's a 3 min video of my 2nd drop: The scariest part of this jump was how the staff distracted me by telling me to look behind me at the sharp cliffs, then suddenly released me when I wasn't expecting it!!



After a traumatizing morning, we said goodbye to Caitlin who headed home to California. We spent he rest of the day relaxing, booking the North Island part of our trip, and chilling in the hostel. Tomorrow, we have an early morning planned, as the shuttle for horseback riding leaves at 8am...
